This is one of the songs we do in Carson's music class.  Sidney and Rowan LOVE it as well.  It's an oldie and a goodie!  There's also a song we call Dapple Grey where you sit on someone's lap and they trot and gallop.  It's pretty funny to see Sidney on Rowan's lap and her attempting to bounce him up and down!

The Tooth Fairy is Coming Tonight!

Last night Casey and Rowan thought it was time for her tooth to come out.  He said they should get some tooth floss and tie it around the tooth and pull it out!  Rowan agreed but said Mommy had to do it.  She says, "I can't believe this is happening I'm so excited!"  I told her to come over so I could test the tooth out and see if I thought it was ready.  When she came over to look I gave it a little yank and it became EXTREMELY loose.  So loose it likely would of came out if she allowed anyone within a foot of her mouth!  She stood back with a shocked look on her face for about 15 seconds and then just started to cry uncontrollably.  She said she never wanted another loose tooth again!  She was terrified.  She didn't like it at all!  Well THEN this morning as she tiptoed into my room to wake me up I hear "Mommy my tooth feels funny....OH MOMMY MY TOOTH IS OUT!!!!"  Followed by lots of excited screams, followed by WHERE'S DADDY??  Who had already left for work so we had to get him on the phone ASAP!

A Sleepover minus the Sleepover Part!

Emily came yesterday for a sleepover.  Even though she didn't ACTUALLY sleepover the girls had a fabulous day!  When it came time for lights out Emily didn't feel ready to be sleeping away from Mom and Dad so they picked her up around 9:30.  It was a day filled with all things Barbie.  They played with their Barbies all day only to take pee and snack breaks, a colouring break (to colour in their Barbie colouring books), and a quick walk to pick up ice cream for dessert.

Baking with Sid!

I was thinking awhile ago about how I never bake with Sidney.  When Sidney was a baby I use to bake with Rowan all the time.  I just shrugged it off to just having no time or opportunity with 3 kids.  A week ago Sidney turned 2.5 and I realized that's how old Rowan was when Sidney was born.  2.5 is the a much better age to attempt to bake with than 14, 18 or even 20 months!  So now let the baking time begin!  Sidney loved it.  And of course as all first timers to he tried the flour, the vanilla and the cinnamon!  And then as all first timers and pros alike he ate the batter (alotta batter!!)
  

Kitchen City

 This morning we just decided to stay home.  Everyone has runny noses and its freezing out.  The boys and I had lots of fun playing in our little kitchen city!

Today is Sidney's half birthday!  Happy 2.5 Sid!

Tonight we were heading outside before dinner for a little driveway hockey and I told Sidney he needed to put on some pants (as for some reason he wasn't wearing any) and that we should probably change his diaper.  His reply was, "I just pee in the no like dogs do Mamma.  Like the yellow no."  So after I explained that he would not be peeing in the snow he went upstairs and got some pants, some socks and a pull up.  He brought it all downstairs and put it all on himself.  Then got his coat, boots and hat on.  Man someone please tell me when my baby got so growed??

Just new recently at nap time/bedtime Sidney likes to hold my thumb.  He'll ask to hold my thumb and I'll lean over and he'll grabbed it and then get all cuddled and let out the biggest sigh.  I'll stay there for a minute or two and then say good night and start to leave.  That's when he'll say in the sweetest little voice, "That make me feel good Mamma."

Snow Day!

 It basically snowed for 24 hours straight!  There's A WHOLE LOT of snow outside so we stayed nice and cozy inside today.  Sidney's favourite part was getting into Daddy's hockey equipment.
