On the Doris McCarthy Trail

Unfortunately (in this case) what goes down, must come back up!  Sidney was all
cheery on the way down.  At one point he said "this is fun!"  A bit farther down the
path he says "I love you Mom." (He does that often just outta the blue much to my liking!)
Hiking back up was a different story!

Once you get to the bottom of the trail you are of course at Lake Ontario!  It's all closed off because it's under construction but we slipped through the fence and walked around.  They've done a lot down here.  Not sure what the final plan is for this space but hopefully it includes a boardwalk, etc.

Daddy's Back!

Daddy has been doing A LOT of travelling the past month.  Today he arrived back from Brazil with t-shirts.  We're hoping the travel is done for awhile.

One Lucky Mom's Mother's Day

Today was my 5th Mother's Day!  One of my new teammates asked me if today was my first Mother's Day.  She was shocked to hear it was my fifth!  I found it to be a surprise too actually! Besides the weather (5 degrees with crazy winds and rain and hail!) it was a great day.  I was chauffeured in a Cadillac to and from my race.  Came home to a house that smelled delicious!  Hot french toast was waiting along with a scrumptious looking chocolate cake all iced and ready to be devoured.  Oh yes Casey and the kids also took the van through the car wash!  After breakfast (while Casey cleaned up) I had a hot bath, laid in bed reading with Rowan and then dozed off for about 30 minutes.  For dinner we had yummy spaghetti.  Again Casey cleaned up after supper!  Then I headed out for my Sunday night basketball game where our team kicked  butt.  All in a fabulous day!  Hope you enjoyed your day as much as I!  

ps.  I know I look tired.  This is how I look most days cause of my allergies.  :(

CRAZY KIDS!

Mamma's Day Run!

This morning Luci, Michelle and I ran the Sporting Life 10K down Yonge Street.  When I returned home the house smelled DELICIOUS!  There was french toast, chocolate cake and 3 excited and crazy kids waiting for me.  Perfect morning so far!

Toes!

Rowan and I went for pedicures today.  It was so much fun.  We have already been planning and talking about when we'll go next and the colours we'll choose!

Art Show!

Today St. Agatha had a little art show.  Each class worked on a painting that was then auctioned off.  I was seriously amazed at the creative and amazing stuff they did! Chloe and Rowan got ready to go at our house.  They were upstairs for quite awhile working on their outfits.  Below is the painting Rowan's class did.  Each student painted a piece of the puzzle.

At the lake with Carson

Tuesdays are one of my favourite days of the week as Carson and I have the whole morning to ourselves.  Today we went down to the lake.  It was so beautiful!  These pictures really don't do it justice.  They were all taken with my phone although our camera wouldn't of taken much better shots either!  Very therapeutic listening to the waves and throwing rocks into the water.
